Yamaha Driveshaft Shortening Service
Yamaha driveshafts are often exceedingly long in mini jet boat applications. Leveraging their non-necked geometry we are able to shorten the shaft by cutting and re-splining it with specialty tools to precise tolerances - no sketchy shaft welding that would warp or compromise the strength of the driveshaft!
The shaft shortening procedure can be done in 2 ways:
Option 1
Send us your complete & still assembled driveshaft, pump, and stator assembly and specify the thickness of your transom panel (for non-Minijet hulls). We will measure and machine your shaft to match our Yamaha intake housing before shipping your shortened shaft and pump assembly back to you. * Note that in order to select Option 1 you must be using a recently-purchased pre-fabricated & machined Minijet Yamaha intake (the D-plate should be pre-welded on to the intake and the face machined from factory). For older intake kits where the D-plate was not welded onto your intake from factory, or if another brand of intake was used, Option 2 below must be used.Option 2
Record the amount of length you wish to be removed from your shaft and ship it to us. We will machine your shaft to the dimension you specify and ship it back to you.Please select your preference:
Minijet Electric Trim Actuator Kit
The Minijet Electric Trim Actuator Kit includes a 12v Electric Linear Actuator, 2 control relays, 6ft Trim Cable, Cable End, Cable Extension, Mounting Plate, Cable Travel Arm, Cable Mounts and Installation Hardware.
This kit will still require Momentary Switches which we sell separately.
Reverse Bucket for Southern Jet Nozzle
Make docking and trailering a breeze with this universal cast ducted reverse bucket for improved reverse thrust and precise directional control. Most PWC reverse buckets catch the water and often spill it out the sides and top without redirecting the thrust to make the boat go backwards. This reverse bucket redirects the flow of the jet back under the boat on each side of the jet unit. By doing so it also improves directional control since you can steer the flow of water down each duct individually.
This reverse bucket is machined to fit our trimmable posi nozzle (sold separately).
