ABOUT OUR BOATS

‘Minijet’ is an abbreviated name for a miniature jet boat; a small aluminum boat with a robust hull, inboard engine, and a jet drive propulsion system. At Minijet INC we design and manufacture our hulls to the highest performance and durability standards before pairing them with an inboard jet driveline that is perfectly suited to our customers’ needs.

Our boats are designed to accommodate nearly any 2 or 4 stroke PWC motor, the most common being offerings from Sea-Doo and Yamaha.

Yes, you can!

We sell a range of DIY kits for customers that are interested in building boats from 10-14ft in length, either as a full set of panels you can weld together, or as a nearly complete boat ready to accept the engine of your choice with no welding required!

We offer precision cut and bent hull kits that you can weld yourself. Our quality control and high manufacturing standards ensure that your kit fits together perfectly and saves you from poor quality of materials or workmanship from un-vetted suppliers.

In Canada you must possess a boaters license / pleasure craft operators card to drive any boat, including a Minijet INC boat. You can find information about the Canadian boaters license at the Boat Smart website.

Different rules may apply in your jurisdiction. Please check your local rules and regulations. 

When purchasing a turn-key boat from Minijet INC, you will be provided with all of the necessary paperwork and certificates to register and insure your boat in Canada, the USA, or other jurisdictions upon request.

If you are registering a DIY kit-built Minijet boat, the registration process will vary based on your location. In Canada you can register your boat as a ‘home built pleasure craft’. You can find more information about home built pleasure craft licensing at Transport Canada’s website.

Different rules may apply in your region. We encourage you to check your local rules and regulations before building your own boat.

Despite the fact that Minijet boats can go where most other powerboats and PWC cannot access, they are not subject to different usage restrictions. We always recommend that all powerboats be used in a way that keeps everyone safe, while keeping rivers and lakes open for everyone to enjoy.
